Aeon Mall Hue (of Aeon Mall Vietnam Co., Ltd.) is the 7th shopping center in Vietnam, and the first one in the Central region. It covers a total area of more than 86,000 square meters, in which, a floor area with 138,000 square meters, a rental area with 51,000 square meters, and 2,500 square meters for parking area.

Aeon Mall Hue shopping center was approved by the Provincial People's Committee for investment policy in May 2021, and approved for investor adjustment in August 2022. The shopping center has a total investment of about USD 169.67 million (equivalent to VND 3.916 trillion). This is the largest Japanese investment project in the province up to now, and the largest general trade and service shopping center in the Central region today.

In addition to the promising to bring a shopping and relaxation experience to the people of the ancient capital and visitors, with more than 135 stalls of food, fashion, entertainment, and supermarket, etc., Aeon Mall Hue is also expected to contribute to creating job opportunities for local people, and become an architectural highlight, adding to the inherent beauty of the heritage city.

Speaking at the construction commencement ceremony, Mr. Iwamura Yasutsugu - President of Aeon Mall Co., Ltd., shared: "Aeon Mall Hue has been commenced as planned. This is an important milestone marking the 10 years of Aeon Mall’s presence in Vietnam, and celebrating 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. With the business philosophy of "Life Design Producer", we will do our best so that Aeon Mall Hue will not only provide infrastructure for the region, but also create spiritual enrichment for the people of Hue City as well as the neighboring communities”.

According to the assessment, Aeon Mall Hue, when put into operation, will contribute to the addition of commercial service institutions and social infrastructure in the area, according to the approved planning, marking a new development step in attracting investment in the field of trade - service; it will contribute to the diversification of shopping centers for goods and services of people in Thua Thien Hue, and especially domestic and foreign visitors when coming to Hue City.

At the construction commencement ceremony, with the recognizing of efforts from all levels, sectors, localities, investors and especially the consensus of the people in site clearance work, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong believed that the success of Aeon Mall Hue project would be a driving force for more and more Japanese investors to come to Thua Thien Hue.
