Nguyen Minh Triet bringing the live broadcast of the "Road to Mount Olympia" back to Hue after 7 years

The second quarter round of the “Road to Mount Olympia” was joined by the contestants namely Dang Hoai Bao (from Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Binh Dinh), Dang Trung Hieu (from Thach That High School, Ha Noi), Nguyen Tran Khoi Nguyen (from Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Khanh Hoa), and Nguyen Minh Triet (from Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted).

Minh Triet, who maintained his agility and accuracy as shown previously in the weekly and monthly rounds, continued to pass the “Warm-up” section excellently, with 90 points; more 50 points than the contestant finishing the section at the second place. Next, in the “Overcoming obstacles” section, after the first horizontal row was flipped open, Hoai Bao, the contestant, quickly pressed the bell to answer the keyword “Thieu nu ben hoa hue” (“Girl with lilies”), thereby shortening the gap with Minh Triet to 30 points.

The “Speed-up” section witnessed a fierce competition in scores between Minh Triet and Hoai Bao. There was a time when Minh Triet was taken the lead in the race, but Triet, with his certainty, still scored 100/160 points in the section, thereby leading the round with 200 points.

In the “Finishing” section, with reasonable tactics along with confidence and calm, Minh Triet answered all three questions correctly in his finishing turn, and even got extra points when he pressed the bell to win the right to answer the questions from other contestants. The contestant from Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted finished the quarterly round with 290 points, thereby winning the whole round and bringing the live broadcast of the "Road to Mount Olympia" back to Hue after 7 years.

He also helped Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted set a record as the school with the largest number of candidates entering the final round of the "Road to Mount Olympia" at 6. Before that, 5 other outstanding names have left their mark in the hearts of TV viewers, including: Nguyen Nguyen Thai Bao (in 2005), Nguyen Manh Tan (in 2008), Ho Ngoc Han (in 2009), Thai Ngoc Huy (in 2011), and Ho Dac Thanh Chuong (in 2016).

The final round of the "Road to Mount Olympia" is scheduled to take place in October this year.
