 Tourists wandering on the ironwood bridge and contemplating the Huong River

There will be various activities organized in the framework of the program such as running and cycling with the participation of around 200 – 300 people following the route of Le Loi – Da Vien Bridge – the walking path from Da Vien to Phu Xuan Bridge (on the North bank of the Huong River) – Le Loi; the Painting Festival and Exhibition for children with the theme “I love the Huong River”; the Photo Exhibition about the Huong River with 50 – 70 works expressing the poetic beauty of the Huong River along the flow of history, the attachment of the Huong River to Hue poetry; Sup surfing and duck boats on the Huong River; as well as the activity of wearing traditional ao dai at the pedestrian street on the southern side of the Huong River and the ironwood bridge; the art show “Gratitude to the Huong River”, etc.

Especially, the activity of boat trips along the Huong River attracts the participation of 36 single dragon boats coming from 36 wards/communes in the area of Hue City.

According to the organizing committee, the program “Gratitude to the Huong River” aims to honor the historical and cultural values of the heritage Huong River and the art of Ca Hue (Hue Singing), thereby raising awareness about the economic, cultural, and tourism values of the Huong River. At the same time, the program also establishes a new cultural festival for Hue locals, promoting the image of the Huong River and that of the friendly, hospitable, and nature-loving Hue people.
