 A performance at the opening night

The large-scale cultural program consisted of three chapters, namely "Setting sail", "The lagoon", and "The radiant homeland of Phu Vang", with 12 performances performed emotionally by singers and artists. The opening night attracted the participation of nearly 10,000 locals and visitors.

The Phu Vang Festival "Scent of the lagoon and the sea" 2023 is the first festival held on the largest scale ever in the district, with many cultural, sports and tourism activities which are rich and diverse, bearing the traditional identity and the modern orientation of the sea and the lagoon. The festival aims to introduce and promote the cultural life, economic and tourism potential, along with the charming landscape of the land and people of Phu Vang to domestic and foreign visitors.

"The festival is prepared quite elaborately with many diverse, unique and attractive activities, taking place continuously from April 23 to April 30 at Vinh Thanh Beach and other beautiful beaches of Phu Dien, Phu Thuan, and Vinh An. The event brings a series of activities, including a traditional boat racing; the festival "Phu Dien, an ideal destination" in 2023; a seminar to share orientations for marine and lagoon economic development; a music art program; an exhibition displaying traditional products and cuisine; an exhibition displaying bonsai trees; an exhibition of paintings, and community music performance as well as competitions in beach sports, etc.

The festival has attracted the participation of a large number of people, really creating colorful cultural festival, imbued with traditional identity and the breath of the coastal area of the lagoon," emphasized Mr. Le Duc Loc, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Vang District.

The series of activities within the festival has left deep and good impressions on local people and visitors. It is also a good opportunity to promote the tourism, and the beauty of traditional culture, people and the homeland of Phu Vang.
