Hue-ICT Challenge is a competition organized by the Provincial Information Technology and Electronics and Telecommunications Association in collaboration with the University of Sciences, Hue University under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee.
The Hue-ICT Challenge is held annually to encourage the movement of learning, self-research, creativity, improving teamwork skills, and integrating international standards among senior high school and junior high school students; searching and discovering innovative Information Technology product ideas among students; thereby providing career orientation for students to choose Information Technology to develop their careers, meeting the needs of the Information Technology human resource market of Thua Thien Hue province, the Central - Central Highlands in particular and the whole country in general.
Hue-ICT Challenge 2023 also contributes to the achievement of the goal of "Building an information technology workforce to meet the development needs of the province's information technology industry by 2020 with a vision to 2025" according to the plan No. 20/KH-UBND dated February 3, 2022 of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 5 third prizes and 7 consolation prizes to the candidates with the best products. The total prize value for the innovative information technology product competition is 28 million VND.
Previously, on March 19, 2023, at the programming contest for high school students, the Organizing Committee awarded 148 individual prizes, 20 collective prizes with a total amount of 113 million VND.
On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 1 team and 19 individuals who had excellent achievements in the programming competition for high school students.
