The heart was taken from a brain-dead organ donor at Viet-Duc Friendship Hospital for transplantation to save a patient at Hue Central Hospital.
It took the team of doctors from Hue Central Hospital more than 23 minutes to go to Noi Bai airport to board flight QH1201. After landing, the journey from Phu Bai International Airport to Hue Central Hospital by ambulance took another 12 minutes.

Because there is a life in Hue that we hope to continue tonight, thanks to a heart that has rushed to race against time to get on the plane with us, with the organ transplant team, patiently with each heartbeat, waiting to land and making it to the door of the emergency room.”

“Today, your 23 precious minutes can do wonders. Bamboo Airways sincerely thank you," Bamboo Airways fan page announced and thanked passengers for their empathy during the flight, helping to continue a life of a patient in Hue.

Ms. T.T.M., the wife of the recipient thanked the airline and the encouragement from many people across the country.
The Bamboo Airways fan page on the morning of July 7 shared that the heart had resumed its beat after the late-night surgery on July 6 and wished the patient a full recovery soon after the heart transplant.
