With 80 photos, documents, and over 100 artifacts, the thematic exhibition focuses on 5 main contents including the introduction of activities to call for anti-war, parades and demonstrations, the activities of refusing to join the war, unmasking war crimes, and the effort of American veterans in healing the wounds of war.
According to the organizing board, through this thematic exhibition, they hope to send meaningful messages of peace to the public at home and abroad; at the same time, depicting clearly some struggle forms used by American soldiers and veterans in the anti-war movements against the American war of aggression in Vietnam. Since then, the exhibition would contribute to conveying much more messages of peace to a large number of people and international friends.
Especially, it also affirms that Vietnam – US relationship is increasingly improving and developing in various fields; the improvement is also witnessed in the activities of cultural exchange between the progressive peace activists, veterans, and people of the two countries associated with reconciliating, healing, and making good the consequences of war, contributing to pushing and developing the comprehensive relations and cooperation between Vietnam and the US as it is today.
