At the meeting, on behalf of the delegations from both provinces, Colonel Kham Ban Phom Ma Ni Vong, Director of the Sekong Provincial Police, and Colonel E Ka Lat Theng Som Bat, Deputy Director of the Salavan Provincial Police, provided an overview of the substantial achievements in the collaborative efforts with the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police regarding crime prevention and control, maintaining border security, and national security.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Le Truong Luu highly appreciated the cooperation between the police forces of the provinces. At the same time, he underlined the notable outcomes resulting from Thua Thien Hue's cooperation with neighboring countries like Laos, particularly Sekong and Salavan provinces, encompassing fields such as healthcare, education, security and national defense.
Secretary Le Truong Luu affirmed that the police forces of the provinces have worked in excellent harmony to uphold political security, social order, and safety within the border region.
Local authorities and the police forces of Sekong and Salavan have extended their support to the functional units of Thua Thien Hue in searching and unloading the remains of Vietnamese martyrs, experts, and volunteers who sacrificed their lives in Laos.
Furthermore, the collaboration will continue focusing on mutual support and development across economic sectors, tourism, and exports.

Thua Thien Hue province earnestly hopes that the local authorities and the police forces of Sekong and Salavan will create the most favorable conditions for the local workforce engaged in trade and living there. This partnership will also strengthen border management, uphold security and order, and combat drug-related issues in border areas.
Secretary Le Truong Luu emphasized the necessity for the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police to actively cooperate and assist Sekong and Salavan Provincial Police in staying informed, managing border affairs, preventing crime, and maintaining both border and national security, and that of Laos provinces having shared border with Thua Thien Hue.
Following the cordial exchange with Secretary Le Truong Luu, the delegation from the Sekong and Salavan Provincial Police continued to work with the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police.
