At Ha Tinh City General Hospital, the delegation illustrated the technique of endoscopic removal of polyp; assessing, consulting on upgrading equipment and training for endoscopists in order to help the staff at the hospital master this technique.
The team also directly performed Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) on 2 patients. The first patient is N.T.B. with common bile duct stones at the lower site, 12 mm dilated common bile duct, the 10 mm stone was removed by performing endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. The second patient is N.T.H. with miscellaneous biliary dilatation, who had his successful endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography with biliary stenting.
In addition, the team of Hue Central Hospital also instructed doctors of Ha Tinh General Hospital to manage skills, procedures and experience in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. This is a modern technique that requires coordination between doctors on many devices, helping patients avoid major surgeries.
This is the first time this technique has been successfully implemented in Ha Tinh province.
