“It's very miserable there. Many children, apart from going to school, they have to go to the forest, to the fields, and go catching fish in streams. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, not every child has unicorns, lanterns and cakes… Therefore, a piece of cake, a carton of milk, a new set of clothes, shoes, or hats... all become memorable joys for children. It was love that motivated us to go!” – shared a reporter after connecting with a number of village leaders and reaching out particularly difficult households in A Luoi town (A Luoi district) to give Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to children. All the fund was collected by the reporter from many charity activities many months ago and from the support of many sponsors who share the same love for children in difficult areas.

Mid-Autumn Festival is an opportunity for children to be excited to join in lanterns parade, admire the moon, watch unicorn dances, and enjoy feasts with Mid-Autumn Festival cakes and fruit. However, for children in many remote and difficult areas, it is really a luxury without the cooperation and sharing from benefactors, charity organizations and groups...

In the midst of the bustling Mid-Autumn Festival, Thua Thien Hue Weekly would like to introduce a photo series of the warm and joyful Mid-Autumn Festival of children from disadvantaged areas in the western region of Thua Thien Hue. There, the value of the gifts can be calculated in numbers, but the love and efforts to bring a joyful Full-Moon night to the children are immeasurable.
