Participating in the event were 5,000 people with disabilities, professional and amateur athletes, officials, civil servants, workers, youth, students, etc., representing various organizations, sectors, unions, businesses… living in Hue, as well as individuals from other provinces and foreigners.
The running routes, covering distances of 3km and 5km, were designed to suit the participants and commenced from Ngo Mon Square, the Imperial City of Hue, and passed through the inner city.
The program aimed to create a positive media effect, attracting the participation of businesses and the private sector in fulfilling social responsibility regarding the healthcare, skills, and integration of people with disabilities. The event hoped to bring physical and mental health benefits, boost confidence, and foster the community integration and equality for people with disabilities.
The program received sponsorship from the project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the National Action Center for Chemicals and Environment (NACCET) under the Ministry of Defense. CCIHP served as the lead agency managing and implementing the project.
