Malik Djoudi brings French electronic pop music to the Hue International Music Week 2023

With vibrant and liberating performances, yet profound and soulful, the female singer Adrienne Mack-Davis and DJ 32 French - representing the Hip-hop music genre (USA) - took the audience on a "journey" through the powerful melodies of soul and RnB music combined with Hip-hop Dance.

Songs like "Healer," "Into This," "Walk It," "Clementine," "Chrysalis," conveyed messages urging listeners to overcome difficulties and barriers in life to heal the soul; addressing self-confidence and self-respect, emphasizing the value of oneself, and the strength in love. Through each song, Adrienne Mack-Davis expressed positivity and self-love through melodies, aiming to convey positive energy, hope, and confidence through music that connects people. Her motto is, "Be yourself! It's good for your health".

Adrienne Mack-Davis is a singer/songwriter trained in Rochester, New York, currently living and working in New England. For over a decade, she has had more than 1,200 performances both nationally and internationally, collaborating with many artists such as Dead Prez, Talib Kweli, Rakim Redman, Pharoah Monch, Hannibal Buress, Homeboy Sandman, Swizz Beatz, and KRS-One.

The audience immersed in an emotionally charged night

With Algerian and Vietnamese blood, the singer and songwriter Malik Djoudi - representative of the Grand Poitiers Urban Community (France) - brought the electronic pop music of France to Hue International Music Week 2023.

With a performance style limited in musical instruments, the lyrics and the artist’s emotions were displayed and harmonized with the audience during the performance. His compositions carry the influence of electronic music, blending the lyrics of synth-pop music from the 80s.

The songs he performed at the event include "Peur de rien," "Cinéma," "Autrement," "Saatchi," "Sous garantie," "Vertiges"... with lyrics that are intimate and sensually attractive, captivating the audience with various emotions.

The program is part of Hue International Music Week 2023, taking place from December 8th to 12th, with the participation of renowned artists from five countries. It will conclude with "Hue by Light - The Live Show," a spectacular audio and light performance symbolizing cultural exchange between France and Vietnam, marking the end of the series of activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Vietnam, organized by the French Embassy in coordination with Thua Thien Hue province on the evening of December 12th.
