With the theme “Unity for Love”, the Tet Hue 2024 will last for 5 days, from the 1st -5th of February (22nd – 26th of December, the lunar calendar - Year of the Cat) at Ngo Mon Square (adjacent to Quang Duc Gate), 23/8 Street, and Le Huan Street, Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City.
A total of thirty-six wards, communes, and 70 organizations, units, businesses, and individuals in the city will be participating in the program. Various meaningful activities will be organized, such as the traditional candy and cake-making competition, the “Tet flavor” event with wrapping and cooking of “Banh Chung, banh Tet”, traditional handicraft exhibition showcasing traditional products of Hue, promoting and displaying local specialties, souvenirs, handicrafts, and typical products of the locality, units, and businesses.
The program also consists of meaningful activities like the “Spring Fair – The Memories” space, the “Celebrating the Party, Celebrating the Spring” artistic program, the “Spring Offering” ceremonial parade of local products from the region, units, and businesses. Additionally, more than 1,960 gifts worth over 1 billion VND along with products from the competitions will be given to poor, near-poor households and those facing challenges in livelihood, and orphanages as well as centers for disabled children in the city.
Continuing the success of the previous Tet Hue programs organized since 2018, this year's Tet Hue program, within the framework of the Tet Hue Festival 2024, aims to promote traditional cultural values, especially to recreate, showcase and promote the activities of Hue people celebrating the traditional Lunar New Year. At the same time, it contributes to taking care of poor, near-poor households and those facing challenges in livelihood during the Giap Thin Lunar New Year.
