Participating in this national competition and awards, Thua Thien Hue won 5 awards, including 1 First prize, 1 Second prize, 1 Third prize and 2 Consolation prizes. For the 17th National Technical Innovation Contest (2022-2023), the Provincial Organizing Committee recommended 19 topics or solutions to participate in the contest. As the result went, there were 3 winning topics and solutions, including: 1 First prize, 1 Second prize, 1 Consolation prize.
The project "Application of resonance diffusion technique in DTI fiber bundle evaluation of central and peripheral nervous fibers at the University Hospital of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University" by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thao and colleagues from Hue University of Medicine, Hue University won the First Prize.
The project "Depression disorders in adolescents in Hue City" by Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Be and colleagues from the College of Education, Hue University won the Second Prize. The project "Research and fabrication of intelligent pressure control system" by Nguyen Duy Lam, engineer, and colleagues from Thua Thien Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company won the Consolation Prize.

For the 2023 Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards, the Provincial Organizing Committee recommended 11 projects to participate.
The results include 2 projects winning awards: 1 Third Prize and 1 Consolation Prize. The project "Production of cosmetic products based on silver nano materials" by Dr. Le Quang Tien Dung, University of Sciences, Hue University, won the Third Prize.
The project "Exploring the antibacterial potential against Helicobacter pylori (HP) of natural compounds as research basis from simulation to experiment of Vietnamese Dandelion (Lactuca indica L.) and application in the formulation of tea products supporting the treatment of gastric ulcer" by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Ái Nhung, University of Sciences, Hue University won the Consolation Prize.
