Parade with campaign messages on the ironwood bridge

The ceremony was attended by leaders of the People's Committee of Hue City, the Forest Protection Department, Miss H’Hen Niê, and relevant agencies.

With the message “Stop eating wild meat brings good karma to life,” the launching ceremony took place on Nguyen Dinh Chieu pedestrian street. This program is part of the VFBC project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), aiming to enhance the participation and support of local authorities, functional units, and the community in wildlife conservation and biodiversity in Vietnam, thereby reducing and ending the consumption of wild meat and products from wildlife in nature.

The launch of the “Action for Wildlife” campaign is more than just sending a message to the people and community about the importance of wildlife conservation; it is also an action to raise public awareness about nature conservation by condemning the illegal consumption, transportation, storage, and use of wildlife products.

At the ceremony, the leaders of Hue City sent the message “Hue City - Say No to Wild Meat” and called on the community to join hands in protecting wildlife. Representatives from the Implementation Unit of WWF-Vietnam Biodiversity Conservation Component delivered the message “Humans have pairs, wild animals have pairs. Stop eating wild meat brings good karma to life”... along with many meaningful activities such as interactive exchanges with the public through wildlife-themed minigames, folk dances, and parades...
