Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, participates in releasing fish into the Huong River.

The endemic freshwater fish released into the Huong River in this batch include crucian carps, broadhead catfish, climbing perch, and common carps. This activity holds significant importance in replenishing the dwindling fish stocks, providing conditions for the growth and reproduction of aquatic species, and contributing to the balance of the affected ecological environment.

This event also marks the 65th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Fisheries Sector (April 1, 1959 - April 1, 2024). Simultaneously, it initiates a movement to engage the entire population in the restoration and development of aquatic resources, aiming for socialization in the efforts of restoring, renewing, and developing aquatic resources.

Annually, the restoration of aquatic resources is carried out across various water bodies, with the number of fish released into marine regions, lagoons, and rivers being expected to reach 1.5 million in 2023; a figure that is 20 times higher compared to 10 years ago.
