The music program “Melodies of the Motherland” kicks off the opening night of "Thuan An – Call of the sea" festival.

In promoting the brand and position of Hue - a clean tourism city in ASEAN, the Festival City of Vietnam, as well as continuing the achievements of previous Hue Festivals and Hue Traditional Craft Festivals, the “Thuan An – Call of the sea” festival 2024 is one of the main events of Hue Festival 2024, aligned with the direction of the four-season festival. The event aims to honor and promote the folk cultural identity of coastal residents, contribute to promoting the potential and strengths of the province and the city in terms of economy, culture, tourism, and prospects for sustainable development; encouraging domestic and international organizations and individuals to invest in Hue City.

In particular, the opening night art show is elaborately and uniquely staged, expressing pride in the nation's seas and islands, praising the richness of the sea, demonstrating the vitality, breath, and characteristics of the Thuan An coastal land, the harmony of traditional culture of the nation with modern culture, creating an atmosphere of solidarity, and expressing the respect and hospitality of local people to domestic and international tourists coming to Thuan An to experience.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Mr. Truong Dinh Hanh, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, affirmed that through the activities and events of “Thuan An – Call of the sea” festival, the city wants to introduce to the people and tourists the image of a safe, peaceful, and hospitable destination, a dynamic land that actively develops and integrates with the traditional cultural values of the land of Thuan An, and of Thua Thien Hue.
