On May 23, Ms. Ha Mai Huong, Director of Hue Academy of Music, said that a ceremony to announce the searching for piano talent competition, “Vietnam's Piano Got Talent”, was organized in Ho Chi Minh City.
Accordingly, the contest has two categories, including: professional and amateur. The preliminary round will take place online from May 15 to July 15. The final round will take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, and Hanoi in July and August 2024. The finale round and performance are scheduled for August 10 at the Song Huong Theater, Hue Academy of Music.
The event is expected to gather many leading experts in the field of piano, along with a panel of judges composed of the representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, lecturers, experts, and advisors from leading academies. This promises to create an attractive and useful platform for teenagers across the country, while also seeking out and nurturing young piano talents in Vietnam.

Ms. Ha Mai Huong, Director of Hue Academy of Music, stated that the “Vietnam's Piano Got Talent” competition was not just a competition, but also an opportunity for young people to showcase their passion for the piano and the nation's artistic music scene. “We are truly looking forward to impressive and emotional performances from the contestants. Hopefully, this competition will be a launching pad for young talents, contributing to raising the position of Vietnamese art music in the international arena,” shared Ms. Huong.
