The training quality of Hue University is increasingly improving

The QS World University Rankings is one of the most prestigious and influential ranking systems, which is widely used to evaluate and compare the quality of higher education institutions around the world.

In the QS World University Rankings 2025, Hue University is ranked in the 1201-1400 group, and is one of the six educational institutions from Vietnam to be ranked. Accordingly, in addition to Hue University, the other five educational institutions are Duy Tan University; Ton Duc Thang University; Hanoi National University; Ho Chi Minh City National University, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

The QS World University Rankings are based on various indicators so as to provide a comprehensive overview of the quality and reputation of universities. The specific indicators are academic reputation (accounting for 40%), faculty - student ratio (accounting for 20%); citations per faculty (accounting for 20%), employer reputation (accounting for 10%); international faculty ratio (accounting for 5%), and international student ratio (accounting for 5%), etc.

Hue University's debut in the QS World University Rankings marks a big step forward, reflecting the continuous efforts in improving the quality of education and research. This achievement not only enhances the prestige of Hue University, but also contributes to affirming the position of higher education of Vietnam on the world map. Additionally, this achievement will help Hue University to attract more international students and faculty, strengthen international collaborations, and improve the quality of research and teaching.

Significantly, this ranking aligns with the successful implementation of the Resolution 54-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing Thua Thien Hue province into “a centrally-governed city”; which “developing Hue University into a National University” and the strategy to develop Hue University to achieve a top 300 best universities in Asia and a top 1,000 best universities in the world in the coming time.
