Launching the reading station on the train connecting heritages between Hue and Da Nang

The reading station has about 150 books. These are precious books from Hue Bookcase and books donated by Omega+ bookstore, the rural book program, and the Book Hunter. At the launching ceremony, the bookcase was well-received by passengers.

According to Mr. Cung Trong Cuong, Director of the Provincial Development Research Institute, the idea of bringing books onto the train was formed during the implementation of the train connecting Central heritages between Hue and Da Nang, along with other amenities such as music, cuisine, and wifi, etc. This is an effort to build community reading stations to spread the culture of reading to everyone in all appropriate spaces. The idea has received positive cooperation from the train operating unit.

The Provincial Development Research Institute is continuing to advocate for additional book sources from bookstores, as well as those interested in contributing to the reading station. People can bring books on board the train to read and leave them at the reading station if they are willing to donate books; or they can contact the Institute to donate books to the free reading station.
