The 2024 Summer School in Mathematical Physics is co-organized by the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) and the University of Education, Hue University.
Taking place from August 5 to 10, the summer school aims to introduce young researchers, postgraduate students, and undergraduates to several leading research directions in Mathematical Physics; and related fields of Mathematics, such as partial differential equations, geometry, and probability.
This year's summer school includes four short courses, a public lecture, several invited talks, and scientific discussions. The event attracts over 70 participants from 15 different countries, including 30 international participants.
The lecturers at the summer school are scientists from leading universities and research institutes worldwide, such as Professor Robert Seiringer from the Institute of Science and Technology Austria; Professor Yoshiko Ogata from the University of Tokyo, Japan; and Dr. Mitia Duerinckx from the Free University of Brussels, Belgium.
The 2024 International Summer School in Mathematical Physics is organized to serve as a forum for connecting young researchers, students passionate about Mathematics and Physics, and contributing to the development of these fields in Vietnam and Asia.
The series of International Summer Schools in Mathematical Physics was initiated by Professor Phan Thanh Nam and is co-organized annually by VIASM and partners. This activity is part of the national key program for the development of Mathematics from 2021 to 2030.
