The thematic exhibition titled “The Image of President Ho Chi Minh on Vietnamese revolutionary press” introduces to viewers nearly 150 documents and artifacts focusing on three contents, including President Ho Chi Minh - A Great Journalist, the founder and builder of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism; the Image of President Ho Chi Minh on Vietnamese revolutionary press; and the Image of President Ho Chi Minh in the hearts of Vietnamese journalists.
The exhibition presents the public various valuable materials such as Vietnamese revolutionary journalism through periods, especially the journalism in Thua Thien Hue in the period of 1945 – 1957, with many outstanding newspapers including Quyet Thang, Chien Si, Tay Tho, Thong Nhat, and Giai Phong, etc. The image of President Ho Chi Minh posted on these newspapers was simple and close to the people. It also includes a collection of newspapers such as Nhan Dan, Quan doi Nhan dan, Ha Noi Moi, etc., reporting on the funeral and memorial of President Ho Chi Minh in 1969.
According to the leaders of Ho Chi Minh Museum in Thua Thien Hue, the exhibition provides an opportunity for the public to learn about the history of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism, as well as the great journalistic career of President Ho Chi Minh, and especially to enjoy the image of President through each period with unique historical stamps; each image, letter, poem, articles, and call, etc., posted on the newspapers.
All of these have deeply permeated and spread the profound historical, cultural, and humanistic values, demonstrating President Ho Chi Minh’s sentiments and selfless dedication to the Vietnamese people and the unweaving trust of the people in him”.
The exhibition lasts until January 15, 2025.
