The program aims to introduce the unique characteristics and origins of unicorn dance activities during the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival in Hue. It also honors the cultural values and spiritual life, preserve the traditional values of filial piety to grandparents and parents in Vietnamese families. The organizers estimated that nearly 2,000 children and their parents would participate in the event.
The event featured various activities for children, including traditional unicorn dance performances, cultural performances for the Mid-Autumn Festival, and activities expressing gratitude to parents based on the Vietnamese tradition of "Bách thiện Hiếu vi tiên" (Among all virtues, filial piety is the foremost). Additionally, there was a unicorn dance festival with performances from troupes within and outside the province.

This year's "Experiencing traditional Hue Mid-Autumn Festival" program is a meaningful activity aimed at affirming and honoring the traditional art of unicorn dance, promoting the cultural beauty of the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival in Hue, and Vietnam in general. It also contributes to deepening the understanding of filial piety, the importance of parental respect, and fostering empathy and love within the community. The program will continue to be refined to become an annual event associated with Hue's traditional culture and tourism, within the framework of future Hue Festivals.
According to the organizers, the original plan for the "Experiencing traditional Hue Mid-Autumn Festival" program included many activities. However, due to objective circumstances, the program was adjusted and streamlined, focusing on a few key activities for children.
