Businesses’ representatives sharing their experiences in developing businesses at the conference

In the framework of the conference, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) emphasized Resolution No.41-NQ/TW of the Politburo regarding the construction and promotion of Vietnamese entrepreneurs’ roles in the new era. In which, the main tasks and solution of Resolution No.41-NQ/TW are raising awareness of the position and role of entrepreneurs in achieving national development goals; completing policies, and laws, as well as creating favorable, safe, and equal investment and trading environment for businesses and entrepreneurs to develop and dedicate; developing a strong force of entrepreneurs and businesses that aligns with the goals and tasks of national development in the new era.

In Thua Thien Hue province, the Provincial People’s Committee has issued Plan No.146 on implementing Resolution No.41-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Plan No.178-HK/TU of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Party Committee on constructing and promoting the roles of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new era.

In which, it sets forth the goals of developing a strong force of entrepreneurs in the provincial area, characterized by quantity, quality, and appropriate structure. They should possess vision and modern management ability. Furthermore, the business force must comply with the laws and be ethics. At the same time, they should embody a business culture that reflects national identity; carrying social responsibility and environmental protection awareness, truly becoming an important drive of the socialist-oriented market economy, contributing to the provincial social-economic development.

Together with the businesses, in addition to the support policies of the Central Government, Thua Thien Hue province has also carried out various other policies to support businesses. In the first 10 months, the province provided financial support for hiring accountants for around 40 businesses transforming from household businesses with a total expense of over 100 million VND. Besides that, the province also rolled out digital signatures and electronic invoices for newly established businesses from the beginning of the year.

Over time, the Department of Planning and Investment has connected with the Vietnam Fund for Supporting Small and Medium Enterprises, and 6 commercial banks authorized by the Fund in the provincial area to provide guidance and support businesses in completing their applications for preferential loans. This support targets small and medium creative startup businesses participating in the linkage networks and value chains.

There were also many sessions for discussion and exchanges with the representatives of the Provincial Business Association and business leaders on enhancing the roles and capacity of the entrepreneurs in the work of transforming Hue into a centrally-governed city. The focus was on being proactive in innovating production and business models, restructuring enterprises in line with green economy, digital economy, and circular economy principles. The participants also highlighted the importance of continuous innovation, as well as encouraged businesses to keep on building and upgrading their brand names and their business culture, while improving their competitiveness.
