The delegation was led by Mr. Ta Duc Minh, Commercial Counselor at the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, and included VJBA leaders along with representatives from various Japanese enterprises.

VJBA is a non-profit organization representing the Vietnamese business community in Japan, established in September 2013. Over its 11 years of operation, VJBA has created numerous opportunities to connect Vietnamese and Japanese businesses, playing an active role in providing consulting, guidance, and supporting for investment and business procedures, as well as participating in activities to promote trade and exports.

At the working session, the Japanese businesses were introduced to Thua Thien Hue’s potential, strengths, investment orientations, and cooperation opportunities on trade. Specifically, Thua Thien Hue is focusing on attracting investment in four key areas: An Van Duong New Urban Area, Chan May – Lang Co Economic Zone, coastal and lagoon regions stretching from Phong Dien to Phu Loc, and industrial zones such as Phu Bai, Phong Dien, La Son, Tu Ha, Phu Da, and Quang Dien.

 VJBA representatives hope that more businesses will come to Hue to invest

The province prioritizes attracting capital into sectors that are aligned with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including: ICT (Information and Communication Technology), digital technology, nanotechnology, biotechnology, new materials, high-tech industries, and supporting industries, etc.

VJBA businesses expressed their interest in exploring more about investment opportunities and shared their future investment directions. They also hoped that leaders from the Department of Planning and Investment and related agencies would actively support and connect to facilitate more Japanese businesses coming to invest in Hue.
