According to the organizing committee, after a thorough selection process, the genres participating in the film festival this year include psychological and family films, and animation, adventure, thriller, science fiction, as well as other documentaries with both realistic and fantastical elements, which are full of creativity and imagination.
KinoFest 2024 promises to showcase a diverse range of films that reflect various social issues occurring in Germany. At the same time, this is also the very first time that the German Film Festival in Vietnam targets children and adolescents, particularly during the weekend screenings.
The film festival will kick off in Hue on the afternoon of October 26 with the film “The Teacher’s Lounge”. This work has received various nominations and won prestigious awards in Germany, Europe, and the Americas. Notably is the nomination for Oscar 2024 in the category of “Best International Feature Film”.
