The weather in Thua Thien Hue has shifted to a new season. Following sporadic rain showers, persistent cold rain has settled in, which poses a challenge, directly affecting the progress of construction projects.
Currently, three key projects in the province are racing against time and the weather to meet the committed timelines and even striving to complete ahead of schedule. These projects include the Thuan An Coastal Overpass, slated to be joined by December 2024; the restoration of Thai Hoa Palace (within the Imperial City), with a target completion before 2025; and the Nguyen Hoang Road and Perfume River Overpass, expected to be technically open by the end of 2024.
Minh Thu, a photographer, expresses her solidarity with workers on these critical construction sites: “At this stage, faced with such a massive workload, the commitment goes beyond just labour for wages. It represents a high sense of responsibility and immense dedication in the race to meet deadlines while ensuring the quality of each structure.”
