On the morning of November 10th, Minh Tu, an author from Hue Ancient Capital, captivated Hanoi audiences with fascinating new insights into the “elegant land of moss”, right in the heart of Vietnam’s capital.

This event served not only as a discussion for the author to delve deeper into his essays but also as an opportunity to promote Hue through literature. The audience was able to learn more about Hue's unique culinary delights, like the humble mussel rice and the quintessentially "Bun Bo Hue", along with stories of Hue people who are deep in love with books, and the way they cherish yellow apricot trees with their own philosophy…

The book features over thirty essays written between 2000 and 2002, a period when the author returned to his hometown after nearly a decade away in Da Lat. For the 2024 reprint, the author has updated, polished the writings and added vivid illustrations.

Previously, Minh Tu has introduced his book in Bac Ninh, where he engaged with students at Thuan Thanh 1 High School and Yen Phong 1 High School.
