This information was shared by the leaders of Thua Thien Hue Museum of History in a meeting to review the noble tradition of those working in the field of conservation and museology. This event took place on the afternoon of November 22nd at the hall of the Department of Culture and Sports.
The event was part of a series of activities commemorating Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23rd.
According to leaders of the museum, this event provided an opportunity for those in the museum field to reflect with pride and gratitude on their work. It was also aimed to inspire a sense of responsibility, professional ethics, and commitment among individuals dedicated to the work of preservation andmuseology. Additionally, the event recognized contributions from organizations and individuals who, while not directly involved in conservation, demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility toward preserving the values of their ancestors' legacy.
“In the future, the museum will continue to intensify efforts to encourage individuals and organizations to donate artifacts. Collaboration with establishments and individuals who support products for museum displays and exhibitions will also be strengthened to further promote Hue’s cultural heritage to a wider audience, thus, further fostering patriotism, national pride, and a sense of responsibility in protecting and advancing the value of our cultural heritage,” a museum representative said.
On this occasion, the Department of Culture and Sports and Thua Thien Hue Museum of History commended and rewarded individuals for their contributions to artifact donations and those who actively supported the display and promotion of Hue’s cultural heritage at key events, including the 2023 National Tourism Year event (in Ninh Binh Province) and the 2024 National Tourism Year event (in Dien Bien Province).
