Nguyen Chi Ngan was sharing with young people at the workshop

At the workshop, young people had the opportunity to listen to Mr. Nguyen Chi Ngan sharing about the importance of reading for young people, the challenges of developing a reading habit in the digital age, and suggestions for books suitable for different ages and interests.

Numerous inspiring stories, shared by Mr. Nguyen Chi Ngan about the journey to revive reading culture at the workshop, also provided young people with valuable knowledge and experiences in their studies, work, love, and life.

According to Nguyen Chi Ngan, cultivating a reading habit requires three essential elements, including time, reading space, and genres of books. The best times to read book are early in the morning and before going to bed. The reading space should be comfortable, fragrant and cheerful. Lastly, the chosen book genres should align with the readers’ ages and interests.

“In the digital age, with limited time for reading, listening to audiobooks on podcasts is also an option. However, if you read directly, the knowledge can enter your mind and you can have a much richer and more vivid imagination compared to listening,” shared Mr. Nguyen Chi Ngan.

Beyond imparting knowledge, the workshop also presented an opportunity for young people to meet and learn from the expert in culture and history about cultivating a reading habit. Furthermore, it served as a platform to connect with fellow book and culture lovers, fostering a positive habit.
