The event attracting numerous poets, writers, and poetry enthusiasts from the local area.

To celebrate the milestone of Thua Thien Hue becoming a centrally-governed municipality, the Union organized this exchange program under the theme "Hue - A love for the rivers". This marks the first-ever gathering of Hue's poetry clubs to share their art, extolling love for the homeland, its people, and the unique beauty of Hue.

The event brought together poetic souls from Hue’s various poetry clubs, such as the Huong Giang Poetry Association, the Poetry Association of Hue, the Dat Viet Poetry Club of Hue, the Haiku Viet – Hue Ancient Capital Poetry Club, the Huong Xuan, Tam Giang, Phu Vang Poetry Clubs, as well as other poetry lovers, creating a vibrant celebration of poetry imbued with the essence of Hue’s cultural and artistic spirit.

Renowned as an eternal source of inspiration for the poets of the Ancient Capital, Linh Trai of the Huong Giang Poetry Association opened the program with the poem "Dong Huong" (The Perfume River), expressing a heartfelt dialogue with the land, and the deep harmony between Hue’s nature and its people. Other poems, such as "Nghe dong song ke chuyen" (Listening to the River’s Story) by Ngan Ha of the Poetry Association of Hue, "Ve voi Hue Tho" (Returning to Poetic Hue) by Nguyen Van Doa of the Huong Xuan Poetry Club, and "Chieu ben dong Huong Giang" (An Afternoon by the Perfume River) by Ton Nu Thanh Xuan of the Dat Viet Poetry Club, resonated deeply in the audience through the recitations and readings by the poets.

A total of 25 compositions were presented during the event, celebrating the city of Hue and its people, expressing joy and pride in the province's elevation to a new status as a centrally-governed municipality.
