Taking place from 11 to 17/7, the fair gathered 400 booths of 200 enterprises in the country, including the typical industrial products; products of traditional craft villages and handicraft villages; handicraft products of artisans, skilled workers, cooperative groups, cooperatives and production and business establishments, consumer goods and telecommunications services. Besides introducing and promoting the image and economic achievements of the province in particular and provinces, cities in Central Vietnam and the whole country in general, the fair also showcased the potential for the development of typical rural industrial products. The aim was to create trade links between manufacturers and businesses and investors; facilitate business and productions; attract investment partners; engage promotional activities such as public relations, trade promotion, investment promotion, and culture and tourism promotion.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Phan Ngoc Tho, emphasized that the fair was organized to facilitate the promotion of the development of rural industries connected with promotion of trade, culture and tourism. Through the fair, enterprises and businesses had the opportunity to introduce and advertise their products to consumers and at the same time to receive input from customers to improve the quality of products in order to increase their competitiveness amongst businesses in the region, and effectively exploit potential strengths of each region and each locality.
