Mr Bui Thanh Ha, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee awarded the first prize to winner Nguyen Khoa Huy.
Through nearly 5 months of launching (from March 15), the contest received 2,179 works of 196 artists from 33 provinces and cities across the country. According to the organizing committee, many of the photographic works participating in the contest are of high artistic quality, reflecting new angles on Thua Thien Hue province in the developing process and portraying the characteristics of a heritage city as well as the culture, ecology and all aspects of lively social life of Hue.
The organizing committee chose 11 excellent artworks to award prizes, including 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes. The first prize belongs to the work “Toả sáng”(Shining) of Nguyen Khoa Huy; the photographs “Thành phố nhỏ” (Small City) by Nong Thanh Toan and “Bến đò ngang” (Quay) by Le Tan Thanh win the second prizes; the works “Đu tiên” (a Vietnamese traditional swing game) by Vinh Huong, “Múa lửa Hoàng Cung”(Royal fire dance) by Le Tan Thanh and “Người thợ dệt hôm nay” (The weaver of today) by Le Nhat Quang win the third prizes.
After the awards ceremony, the organizing committee opened the fine art photo exhibition “Hue - new angles” 2017 at the Ho Chi Minh Museum.
