Awarding the first prize winner
At the closing and awards ceremony of the contest, the Organizing Board awarded 6 first prizes, 12 second prizes, 12 third prizes and 23 consolation prizes for the innovators and the innovator groups of 53 winning solutions. The Organizing Board also presented certificates of merit to 7 collectives and 2 individuals having achievements in the propaganda, dissemination and organization of the contest in 2017.
According to the Organizing Board, in the 8 times of organization there have been 411 technical solutions entering the contest. Among them, 280 solutions have been awarded, the number of individuals and units participating in the contest has increased steadily, and there are more and more solutions winning prizes at the provincial and national levels.

In the 2017 contest alone, there are 104 projects entering 6 fields of competition. This year the number of contest entries increases sharply (by 50% compared to the 7th contest in 2015). In particular, there are national and international level projects that have been applied in practice. The participants are also diversified from ordinary workers (such as guards, mechanics, and governmental workers, etc.) to outstanding scientists.
After the closing and awards ceremony, the Organizing Board officially launched the 9th Science and Technology Innovation Award of Thua Thien Hue in 2018. It also calls for active participation and response from the units, organizations and individuals in and out of the province, so that the award will become a meaningful and valuable activity in creating and applying science and technology.
