Cutting the ribbon to inaugurate Hoa My 1 Nursery School

The construction of Hoa Mi 1 Nursery School is approved by Thua Thien Hue provincial People’s Committee to receive the non-refundable aid project sponsored by the U.S.Pacific Command. The work includes 10 two- storey classrooms and the self- contained toilet with the total expenditure of nearly VND 12 billion.

Colonel Thomas J. Tickner, the sponsor’s representative, Director of United States Army Corps of Engineers for the Pacific Ocean Division said that, since 2009, through the humanitarian supporting program, the United States government together with the government of Vietnam have built many schools. Hoa My 1 Nursery School is the second school sponsored by the U.S. Pacific Command in Quang Dien district. The purpose of the work is strengthening the infrastructure of nursery education in the district, at the same time being the flood and storm shelter for people in the area. This program also shows the friendship and close cooperation between Vietnam and the United States
