10th Hue Festival to be held with the theme of “Hue - One destination, Five World Heritages”

On the afternoon of December 19, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province jointly held a press conference to introduce Hue Festival 2018.

A new program of the 10^th Hue Festival 2018 is the “Van hien kinh ky” (“Hue Royal Inspiration”). This program will be staged elaborately, upgrading the "Dai Noi by night" program, so as to honor world cultural heritages in Hue and celebrate the 25^th anniversary of UNESCO recognition of Hue monument complex as a World Cultural Heritage Site.

In addition, Hue Festival 2018 also has many activities promoting, introducing Vietnamese unique cultural and artistic quintessence (especially the cultural heritages in Hue ancient capital), such as the national competition of  “Hat chau van” (spiritual singing), the Ao dai Festival, the art show of "Nhung tinh khuc Hue” (“Hue love songs”), “Huong xua lang co” (“The ancient village's old taste”), “Song nuoc Tam Giang” (“The wave of Tam Giang”).

Hue Festival 2018 is expected to have the participation of about 20 international art troupes from different countries and regions around the world.
