Among them, there are four new investment projects and three residential quarter removal projects, raising the total number of projects investing in industrial clusters up to 119 projects, with a total investment capital of nearly VND 1000 billion. Up to now, there are nine industrial clusters in the province including Tu Ha, Bac An Giang, Thuy Phuong, Huong So, etc. with the area of over 303 hectares; the used area is 142 hectares and the occupancy rate is about 47%.
In 2018, the Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate with the People’s Committees of districts, towns and Hue city to strengthen investment promotion, and at the same time to mobilize the manufacturing establishments in residential areas to move to industrial clusters to reduce environmental pollution and create opportunities for establishments to enlarge their scale and develop their production.
