The newly established provincial chapter of VATG will entitle the tour guides to work legally
The VATG at provincial level will operate in accordance with the statutes of the PTA and its own regulations approved by the PTA. The chapter is also put under the management of the PTA in terms of organization, personnel, finance and other activities.
Previously, the Law on Tourism 2017, effective from January 1, 2018, specifies that tour guides must have a labor contract with the business or be a member of a professional association to work legally. The establishment of the organization, therefore, will entitle the tour guides, who sign to be and act as its members, to legal practice.
