Enterprises in the construction and industry sectors remarkably contribute to the province’s socio-economic development

Up to the beginning of July, 2017, the province had 4,321 operating enterprises, increasing by 326 enterprises in comparison with 2012, occupying nearly 5%, while the number of employees in the enterprise sector accounted for nearly 35% which was equivalent to over 90,000 employees. The number of private productive businesses was over 81,000 establishments, growing by over 18% with more than 120,000 employees.

Although the enterprise sector accounted for less than 5% of all economic sectors, the socio-economic effects of the enterprise sector were significant. In 2016, the enterprise sector created over VND 67,000 billion, which is 1.67 times higher than in 2011, of which the construction, trade and industry sectors had the highest revenue of over VND 34,000 billion.

Addressing the conference, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong said these are necessary and comparatively specific data to be the basis for analyzing and proposing solutions to develop each sector, thence making suitable mechanisms, policies on operation.

On this occasion, the Provincial People’s Committee awarded the certificate of merits to ten groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in statistical work in 2017.
