That was the theme of the outdoor activity to respond to the 48th Earth Day held by the Green Truong Son project (sponsored by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in collaboration with the Education and Training Division of Phu Vang suburban district and Phu Tan junior secondary school on the morning of April 22.
The activity attracted 520 students and nearly 40 teachers from Phu Tan secondary school. Through short films, presentations, and group discussions, the students could understand the harmful effects of the waste, thus improving their awareness and changing their “behaviors” to the waste. Besides that, the students were also encouraged to act to the guideline “Youngsters do simple things” such as making classroom decoration products from recycled materials, coloring placards with environment protection slogans, etc
On the same day, the students and teachers also planted 200 golden oaks to green the campus and cleaned up the garbage around the school and vicinities.
