The Congress Speaker of the Federated States of Micronesia thanked the provincial leaders for the great feelings and hospitality for the delegation. Mr. Wesley W. Simina said that he felt very impressed by the ancient beauty of Hue and the well preserved and promoted historical monuments for the City’s  tourism development. He also said that Micronesia was keen to learn experience from Hue in preserving monuments and developing tourism.
 
When talking about how to develop the bilateral relations, Mr. Wesley W. Simina’s said that the two countries needed to focus on people-to-people exchange, promotion of business cooperation and twinning formalization between provinces and cities of the two countries. On this occasion, the Congress Speaker of the Federated States of Micronesia officially invited the Province’s leaders to visit Micronesia.
 
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho expressed his thanks for the invitation by the Congress Speaker. He also made an introduction to the delegation about the potentials and strengths of Thua Thien Hue. At the same time, he said that the visit of the delegation had a special meaning, which expressed the sentiments of Micronesia for Vietnam and Thua Thien Hue.
 
Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho expressed his hope that during their time in Hue the high-level delegation of the Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia would take the opportunity to learn more about the unique culture, as well as potentials and opportunities for the cooperation between Micronesia and Thua Thien Hue.
 
Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho also hoped that the cooperative and friendly relationship between Vietnam and Micronesia in general, and between Micronesia and Thua Thien Hue in particular, would be further strengthened and developed.
