The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Huynh Cu, Hue Municipal Party Committee Secretary; Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Chairman of Hue city’s People's Committee; Mr. Ryosuke Nishikura, Deputy Mayor of Takayama city; Mr. Shinichi Asazuma, envoy of the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam; and nearly 100 businesses of the two cities.
With the desire to promote friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and Japan, and enhance common understanding and friendly cooperation, the two cities signed the memorandum of understanding, including five contents: promoting exchanges and cooperation activities in the field of tourism, conservation and promotion of cultural heritage values, education, commercial economy and agriculture.

In the coming time, the two cities will regularly exchange experiences in exploiting cultural heritages, developing tourism, cooperating and supporting each other; as well as exchange experiences in the protection of the landscapes, preservation and promotion of tangible and intangible cultural heritage values; promotion of educational cooperation programs; and exchange experiences in the field of agricultural development, etc.
At the ceremony, businesses from the two sides learned about opportunities for investment cooperation in the fields of tourism, preservation of cultural heritages, agricultural development, promotion of educational development programs to research and set up investment plans to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two cities.
