Screening for eye diseases for the elderly on August 6

This is a charity event sponsored by the Australian & Vietnamese Charity, which is headed by Mr. John Hornbrook and Ms. Lyndall Hornbrook.

The program will be implemented until August 17, including examination, and consultation on how to prevent eye diseases for the elderly and children; at the same time, some 100 serious cases at risk of blindness, such as cataract, glaucoma, entropion, etc., are given free surgical treatment worth nearly VND 100 million.

On the same day of August 6, Hue Central Hospital Facility 2 and the Australian & Vietnamese Charity gave 100 gifts for eye patients, 1,000 kg of rice for 100 cases of difficulties being treated at the Facility 2, and 30 gifts for patients being treated at the Oncology Center of Hue Central Hospital Facility 2, with the value of more than VND 150 million.

In the future, with the wish for community’s health of the eyes and becoming a place of many charitable activities, Hue Central Hospital Facility 2 will continue to coordinate with domestic and international organizations to implement many practical and meaningful charitable activities oriented towards patients and the community, contributing to improving life quality of the entire population.
