This book is a compact overview of the process of conserving and restoring the cultural heritage values of Hue ancient capital on the occasion of 25th anniversary of the Complex of Hue Monuments being recognized as a world cultural heritage and 15th anniversary of Hue’s court music - the court music of Vietnam being honored as a masterpiece of the intangible heritage of humanity.

On this occasion, The Hue Monuments Conservation Center will hold a display to introduce the project “Repairing and restoring the Kien Trung Palace” on the morning of September 7 at the yard of Kien Trung Palace, Hue Citadel.

Kien Trung Palace is an important architectural – artistic work in the monument complex belonging to Hue Citadel. The form of this palace is a combination of European style including French architecture, Italian renaissance architecture and Vietnamese traditional architecture. This is the living and working place of the last two kings of Nguyen Dynasty: King Khai Dinh and King Bao Dai.
