Attending the event were Mr. Christian Berger, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam and Mr. Robert Lindemann Berk, Chairman of Quarzwerke Group.
VPG cooperates with Quarzwerke Group using German technology to invest silica sand processing line in deep. It is the investment project to build the first superfine quartz powder processing plant in Vietnam. The plant’s products are smooth and super smooth silica powder (silica powder or oxit silic powder) to make molds for ceramic glaze, fire bricks, grinding powder and materials to produce high-tech products such as super white glass for solar panels, liquid crystal display and fiberglass cotton.
Speaking at the commencement ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong affirmed that it is an important milestone in building the vision of the value chain of white sand mining and processing sector in Phong Dien district. It is hoped that, with more than 135 years of experience in owning the premium silica and sand powder processing technology with an international brand name, Quarzwerker and VPG will build a white sand mining and processing plant in Phong Hien commune, ensuring safety and quality, complying with commitments and provisions of the law on environmental protection in mining, processing and effectively contributing to the socio-economic development in the local.
