Consulate General of the United States in Ho Chi Minh City introduces the US education program

At the festival, hundreds of pupils and students, who are attending high schools, colleges and universities in Hue city, have been introduced to exchange scholarship programs of the US government, provided with information to study in the US, and about student visas, as well as soft skills development by the specialists from the Consulate General of the United States in Ho Chi Minh City.

Also, at this festival, the pupils and students also participated in some booth activities to find out more important information related to US education.

According to the Consulate General of the United States in Ho Chi Minh City, the Open Doors annual report of the Institute of International Education (IIE) shows that the number of Vietnamese students in the United States increased in the 17th consecutive years. In the 2017 - 2018 school-year, Vietnam continues to rank sixth among the leading countries of international students in the United States with 24,325 students, an increase of 1,887 students compared to 2016 - 2017 school-year, i.e. increased by 8.4%.

The states with the most international students are California, New York, Texas, Massachusetts, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.
