The competition will take place from November 23 to 25

This is an opportunity for the tea industry of Vietnam in general and Hue city in particular to exchange experiences, promote tea products, culinary tourism, cultural tourism and hotel services.

The competition Tea Masters Cup International (TMCI) – Brew the future is a competition of the champions, and it is also a biggest worlds’ annual event on tea and tea culture, which is held in the alternative form among the countries producing and exporting tea. 

There are 4 main categories in the competition including brewing tea: a tea master competing in this content has to show the skills of brewing and presenting two kinds of tea, one is chosen by the organization board and the other is selected by the contestant; tea and side dish: A tea master competing in this content has to show the skill of combining a tea drink and a side dish. The tea master will have to prepare 2 sets including teas and side dishes; tea mixology: A tea master competing in this content has to express his/her talent in preparing two kinds of drinks which are tea-based; tasting tea: A tea master participating in this content has to express the skill of distinguishing model kinds of tea in a prepared tea set.

According to the competition’s format, the tea association of each member state will hold a national level tea brewing competition and choose the champion to participate in the international championship.

The competition Tea Masters Cup International has been held 3 times, the first time was in Istanbul (Turkey) in 2015, the second time was in Seoul (Korea) in 2016 and the third time was in 2017 in Hubei (China).

The program of this year not only consists of the Tea Masters Cup International but also has important activities such as the workshop to promote culinary tourism, build up brand name, the activity of displaying tea of representatives of provinces planting tea all over the country, as well as the activity of cultural, artistic exchange.
