In 2019, the Provincial Tourism Association continues to coordinate with the Provincial Department of Tourism in tourism marketing and promotion; cooperate with communication units, and websites specializing in providing tourism services; and link with domestic associations to exploit each other's visitor resources.
Mr. Dinh Manh Thang, Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association informed that in 2019, the association continued to mobilize hotels to better respond to the price stabilization project in the province; continued to expand the certification trademark of "Bun bo Hue" at hotels and restaurants in the province, proceeding to expand to other localities. Besides, the association will also coordinate with the Provincial Department of Tourism to propagate the 2017 Tourism Law in enterprises. Particularly in the second quarter of 2019, the association will participate in the series of activities in the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2019, and the organization of the Vegetarian Festival on the occasion of the Vesak this year.
For many years, the Provincial Tourism Association has always successfully organized Cuisine Festivals at Hue Festivals. This is the premise to organize the Vegetarian Festival on the occasion of the Vesak this year.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dung asked the Provincial Tourism Association to be proactive in plans, coordinate and actively support for a successful Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2019 by improving service quality, ensuring good security and safety, preventing fire and explosion, not increasing prices and/or lowering prices, and publicizing prices to visitors. Particularly for the Vegetarian Festival, he welcomed and asked the Provincial Tourism Association to take the initiative to put into the operation the implementation of vegetarian cuisine periodically in the coming time. This is one of the strengths to promote "Hue - The Capital of Gastronomy" and increase the ability to attract visitors to Hue.
