Offering incense to celebrity Dang Huy Tru - the ancestor of Vietnamese photography
On March 14, 1869, while envoying in Guangdong, China, celebrity Dang Huy Tru imported photographic equipment from Hong Kong to Vietnam to open Cam Hieu Duong studio in Thanh Ha Street, Hanoi. It is considered the first studio in Vietnam, opening the first page for the development of modern photography today.

Since then, on the occasion of Vietnamese photography traditional day in every year, many activities of offering incense and memorials, exhibitions ... are held to honor Mr. Dang Huy Tru. The ancestral worshipping house of Dang’s family in Thanh Luong village, Huong Xuan ward, Huong Tra town has became a familiar address for all photographers across the country.
On this occasion, in the precinct of the ancestral worshipping house of Dang’s family, an exhibition is held to introduce the 70 newest and most outstanding photographic works of photographers from Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang and Binh Dinh.
The works reflect many perspectives of the photographers about the homeland landscape and people's daily life on the paths of composition of the artists.
