Talking intimately with the delegation, on behalf of the Prime Minister, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh expressed his pleasure to receive the delegation of people with meritorious services to the revolution from Thua Thien Hue, and recalled the heroic tradition of fighting of the people in the province, with the cause of building and defending the country of our people. In particular, in the two resistance wars against French colonialists and American imperialists, Thua Thien Hue was an important strategic area of politics, defense and security. It used to be a fierce battlefield with many glorious victories, contributing to the national army and people to defeat the colonial forces and the invading empires.
On this occasion, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister also praised the efforts of the Thua Thien Hue Party Committee and authorities in taking care of and implementing preferential policies for the people with meritorious services, expressing deeply the tradition of “uống nước nhớ nguồn” ("When drinking water, think of its source”).
The Deputy Prime Minister also hoped that people with meritorious services of Thua Thien Hue Province would continue promoting the revolutionary tradition and the will of the communist soldiers, setting good examples for the younger generations; the first was to propagate their family and educate their descendants to well implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State.
The representative of the people with meritorious services from Thua Thien Hue Province thanked the Government leaders and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh for always paying attention to people with meritorious services across the country in general, and from Thua Thien Hue Province in particular despite their busy work.
